I am working on a test-prep manual for pre-k and kindergarten children, that will consist of approximately 200 questions, spread over 6 categories.  I am looking for an illustrator who can do the pictures that go along with the questions. 

Since this is a cognitive approach for children who do not necessarily know how to read, all the questions consist of pictures (the actual questions are read by the parent or tester). So, we are looking for an artist who can make these illustrations (probably a total of 800) for us. The illustrations are simple, small, black and white (half of them are basic shapes, the other half is scenes with people, animals, and common objects). The key is to keep the style of illustrations simple and clear and consistent throughout the sections, so as not to add on another unnecessary layer of comprehension.

I realize that 800 sounds like a lot, but please understand that these would be mostly redundant, and that they do not need to be of excellent quality.  For example, a question that asks the student to point to the picture of a girl sitting with her mother at a table that has a vase with three flowers in it will require five illustrations: (1) a girl sitting with her mother at a table that has a vase with three flowers in it, (2) a girl sitting by herself at a table that has a vase with three flowers in it, (3) a girl sitting with her mother at a table that has no vase on it, (4) a girl sitting with her mother at a table that has a vase with one flower in it, and (5) a girl standing next to a table that has a vase with three flowers in it.

This is meant for print (probably by our University press, or something local) and we are, of course, willing to give full credit to the artist in the final product.  Our budget is low, but, I understand that this is hard labor, and hopefully we can agree on a price.
